Heidelberg Stein. Our elegant stoneware tribute to the romantic city of Heidelberg features a stunning cameo of its famous Old Bridge on the central panel with Heidelberg Castle high on the hill in the background. The massive wine barrel — the Heidelberger Fass — considered the largest in the world, adorns the right panel of the stein, while Perkeo, the legendary court jester during the reign of the Palatinate Prince Charles III Philip, reputed to have regularly consumed anywhere from 5 to 8 gallons of wine a day, is depicted on the panel to the left. An ornate filigree thumb grip and embossed three tier conical lid of genuine pewter crowns the stein. Handcrafted in detailed raised relief and painted by hand by Zöller & Born®.
9¾” H. Stein holds almost ¾ liter. Made in Germany.
