Kaiser Wilhelm II Stein. A beautifully detailed genuine pewter bust of the Kaiser crowned with the Imperial Eagle helmet tops the pewter lid of this handsome stein. A pewter Iron Cross, the military decoration of the Kingdom of Prussia and later of Germany, forms the thumb grip. The letters “FW”, referring to King Friedrich Wilhelm III who established the Iron Cross, an oak leaf cluster, and “1813”, the year when it was first awarded, are embossed on the back of the cross. The Prussian Royal Crown, the letter “W”, referring to Kaiser Wilhelm and the year “1914” are embossed on the front of the cross. The German Imperial Eagle in detailed raised relief decorates the center of the stein and is flanked on the left side with a cameo of Kaiser Wilhelm II in a spiked helmet, and on the right side with a cameo of the Brandenburg Gate.
