LITTLE MESSENGER M.I. HUMMEL FIGURINE

“Little Messenger” M.I. Hummel Figurine. Also called “Meditation”, but originally entitled “Gratulantin” (meaning “Well-Wisher” in German), our delightfully detailed pig-tailed lass clutches a letter in her right arm with a wicker basket slung over her left, ready to visit some very special person with an uplifting and cheerful greeting. First modeled by Master Sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1935, but then re-styled by Master Sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1978, it is a wonderful collectible find from the Hummel archives. Bottom-stamped as an Original M.I. Hummel. 3¼” H.
