The inscription “All Gave Some, Some Gave All” appears just above the map. A timeline on the side panels lists the historical events related to the war. The emblems of all the participating branches of the U.S. Armed Forces adorn the central panel. A genuine pewter lid is topped by a sculpted pewter scene of hands holding an American flag.
