“Retreat To Safety” M.I. Hummel® Figurine. A rare find from the Goebel archives that was first modeled in 1948 by Master Sculptor Reinhold Unger and temporarily withdrawn from production in 1999. It perfectly captures in delightful and colorful detail a young lad frightened by his encounter with a tiny bullfrog and jumping on a fence for safety. Incised with a 1948 copyright date. 4” H.
