Our pure Elisen content “Kleines Nürnberg-Kästchen” is an elegant gold-embossed tin with intricate interlaced embellishments framing a nostalgic scene of the Adler train on the lid and sides of the chest. The Adler Train was the first locomotive ever, that was successfully used commercially for the transport of passengers and goods in Germany. It ran officially for the first time on December 7, 1835 between the cities of Nürnberg and Fürth. Contents includes premium dark chocolate coated Elisen lebkuchen with a minimum nut content of 25%, and finest Nut Elisen lebkuchen with 29% hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts.
