Wildlife Pewter “Wildschütz Jennerwein” Stein And Shots. Beautifully detailed raised relief images pay tribute to the legendary hunter and folk hero Jennerwein, known as the Bavarian Robin Hood. Denied an official license to hunt in the Bavarian Forest, Jennerwein would risk life and limb to hunt wild game illegally to save his poverty-striken neighbors from certain starvation. The genuine Pewter Stein features detailed raised relief forest scenes of Jennerwein, bugling elks and deer encircling the body of the stein. Raised relief oak leaf clusters encircle the domed pewter lid, as well as the base. A plume-like thumb grip crowns the ornate pewter stein handle. Deer standing in a forest clearing adorn one side of the Pewter Shots; the famous hunter returning home from a hunt decorates the other side. Made by Artina® of Austria. Stein is 6½” H.
